Bowie Tour London | FAQ

FAQ:

Where do the tours start?

Tours commence outside Brixton Tube Station for the Brixton Tour and Oxford Circus Tube Station (Exit 2) for the Soho Tour at the time detailed on your ticket or at the time of booking. For Brixton, your tour guide will be waiting by the tourist information map outside the tube station, near WH Smith. He will be holding a guitar!! For Soho, your tour guide will be waiting outside Tezenis clothes shop near Exit 2 of Oxford Circus Tube Station, holding a guitar.

We recommend you arrive at least 10 minutes early, and if you are having any problems with finding us, please call +44 (0)7894 550 184 and we will do our best to help.

Is the tour suitable for all ages?

Yes. We welcome all ages, but suggest that guests need to be fit enough to walk for the duration of the tour (2 1/2 - 3 hours). However, we do have plenty of stops on en route, including a toilet and drink stop.

Are there any discounts for children?

Yes. Admission is free for children under the age of 6.

What if I am in a wheelchair?

Wheelchair users are welcome on our tours. The area we cover is mostly flat ground, but if you do need any extra assistance please contact us beforehand (phone: +44 (0)7894 550 184) and we will arrange for any specific needs. There is also wheelchair access at Brixton Tube Station.

What if I am running late?

Your tour guide will wait for an additional few minutes after the tour start time to allow everyone to arrive. There will be a short safety briefing by the red phone boxes to your right as you exit the tube station.

We strongly advise you arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to find the meeting point, but if you do run into any difficulties please phone us as soon as possible on +44 (0)7894 550 184 and we will do our best to direct you to the tour guide. However, please be aware that the tour gets moving quickly and and it’s hard to direct people who do not know the area. We cannot offer a refund if you miss the tour because you were late.

What if I miss the tour?

We are not able to offer refunds if you miss the tour. We will, however, do our best to offer you the chance to join another tour at a different time or date, but be aware that this is done at our discretion. It is your responsibility to arrive at the tour meeting point at the time and date selected at the time of booking.

Do you take private bookings?

Yes. We happily take private bookings for birthdays, families and corporate events. Please call us on (phone: +44 (0)7894 550 184) or email bowietourlondon@gmail.com to arrange a time and date, and please tell us the nature of the event and any specific requests. A deposit will also be required to arrange a private tour.

Do you arrange bespoke tours?

Yes. We are happy to incorporate bespoke requests for private tours (see above), such as lunch or dinner stops, places to grab a drink, adjusting the route, etc. We are a musical tour, singing David Bowie songs as we go, so if you have any specific song requests for your private booking, please let us know beforehand and your guide will learn them (Please note: we are a DAVID BOWIE music tour, we will NOT be learning songs by Oasis or Guns ’n’ Roses… ;) ).
